Job description

Allure Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery is seeking an experienced Per Diem Registered Nurse who can cover during our OR days at our own surgical center. This role is unique that you will be working closely with the surgical team in caring for each patient from the time they check in to the time they are discharged. 

This position is ideal for a dynamic and dependable RN looking for flexible, per diem work in a private plastic surgery practice.

The schedule will vary, and advance notice is provided when possible.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-operative patient care, including patient preparation and verification
  • Start IVs and assist with pre-op medications as ordered by Dr Lo
  • Complete and manage required documentation
  • Circulate in the operating room for cosmetic surgical procedures (ie, obtain additional supplies or equipment as needed during the surgery)
  • Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety at all times
  • Monitor postoperative vital signs and coordinate patient’s care with the surgical team
  • Provide discharge instructions, in collaboration with the CRNA and Dr Lo

Requirements

  • Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • BLS, ACLS certified
  • Previous OR/PACU experience is preferred (plastic surgery experience is a plus but not require)
  • Proficient with IV starts and perioperative patient care
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced surgical environment
  • Professional, reliable, flexible and team-oriented

Schedule

  • Per diem
  • Typically, 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month
  • Schedule varies based on surgical volume
