Hiring Fall 2025
Mission: Neighborhood Villages designs and scales innovative and collaborative solutions to the biggest
challenges facing early education and child care providers serving families with young children ages 0-5
and advances sustainable, equity-driven systems change through advocacy, education, and policy
reform.
About Neighborhood Villages: Neighborhood Villages is a Massachusetts systems-change non-profit working
to create a future in which all families have access to affordable, high-quality early education and care.
Collectively, NV's interlocking programs are designed to bolster the capacity of the early education and care
system, in Massachusetts and across the country, to:
1) Recruit, retain, and develop a professional workforce of early educators and administrators,
2) Support educator professional development and program quality to promote excellence in
education and ensure that children reach developmental and literacy milestones, and
3) Meet the full-scope wraparound needs of vulnerable children and families to ensure that they
enter classrooms ready to learn and to thrive.
The Operations Intern, reporting to the Senior Director of Operations, will support the general
administration and operations of Neighborhood Villages, including staff outreach, office
organization, staff communication, event planning and execution, and other special projects.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Support monthly staff newsletter preparation
Maintain office organization and inventory
Implement tasks related to staff culture building
Support event preparation and execution
Qualifications:
Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in the nonprofit sector
Excellent organizational skills and commitment to being thorough
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with and willingness to gain proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
(particularly Google Sheets and Slides)

The start and end dates are flexible.
Location:
Neighborhood Villages is currently operating via a hybrid work model. The intern will work remotely on
Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and will be preferred to work in-person from
Neighborhood Villages' Dorchester office on Tuesdays. Exact schedule will be discussed with each individual candidate.
Other Requirements:
The intern will need to have access to a computer on which to complete work and an environment in
which to complete work on remote work days.
Compensation:
We offer a stipend for internships of $3,000 for 200 hours of work.
