Join a dynamic team that transports agricultural commodities across the United States and internationally. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Merchandising Assistant Intern to support our Soybean Crush Marketing team.


Summary:

As a Merchandising Assistant Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the Soybean Crush operation by working closely with our processing plants and customers. You will help prepare accurate netbacks for the plants and process customer invoices. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, team-oriented individual who thrives on ensuring transactional accuracy and smooth operational execution.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and process netback documents for soybean crush plants 
  2. Generate and process sales invoices for crush customers 
  3. Collaborate with traders and the logistics team to resolve issues and ensure timely resolution 
  4. Process accounts payable transactions for payment via ACH, wire, or check 
  5. Maintain accurate, well-organized files in shared drives and email inboxes 
  6. Provide general support to the merchandising and accounting teams 
  7. Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  1. Currently pursuing a degree in Agriculture, Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  2. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills 
  3. Reliable team player with a proactive attitude 
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook) 
  5. Experience with Agris software is a plus 
  6. Agricultural background or interest is beneficial but not required 
  7. Timeframe: June - August 2026  (with possibility of extension)
  8. Hours: Monday - Friday, minimum 20 hours per week-Flexible scheduling available around class commitments
