Job description

Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Assignment Details:

  • Contract Weeks: 13
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36.00

Requirements:

  • Current RN license in state of practice: Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
  • One year previous full-time experience in the operating room: Required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification: Preferred
  • Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR): Preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists and coordinate the flow of equipment, supplies, and staff during surgical procedures.
  • Ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care.
  • Participate in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment.
  • Operate all equipment routinely utilized in the Operating Room safely.
  • Prepare patients for surgery, including appropriate anatomical positioning.
  • Document relevant information for patient care and meet established department criteria.

Compliance / Notes:

Position is represented by CNA. Efficiently utilize downtime for job-related tasks.
