Job description

Position Title: Family Medicine Float Nurse (LPN or RN) or CNA - Full Time (FT)Department: Family Medicine Nursing
Reports to: Director, YGFM Nursing

We're seeking a compassionate and adaptable Nurse (LPN or RN) or CNA to join our Family Practice team at York General. This float position offers variable hours with occasional Saturday shifts and the opportunity to assist at our Urgent Care Clinic when needed.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide high-quality patient care under appropriate supervision and in collaboration with providers.
  • Take vital signs, administer medications, assist with exams, and perform routine lab tests.
  • Manage medication refills, triage patient calls, and support the shot room.
  • Document care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Communicate lab and test results and follow up with patients and families.
  • Support care coordination by gathering outside records and arranging preventive health screenings.
  • Maintain clean, organized supplies and ensure smooth daily clinic operations.
  • Provide coverage at York General Urgent Care as needed.

What You'll Bring:
  • Current LPN or RN license in the State of Nebraska (required) or Nebraska CNA listed on the Nurse Aide Registry
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • At least one year of clinical experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and stay organized in a dynamic environment.
