Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Graphics Production Ball HS intern position assists with design and production of a wide variety of both permanent and temporary posters, banners, and other required signage for interior and outdoor application. This job encompasses work for all of Moody Gardens including the Attractions, Hotel, Spa, Convention Center, and Golf Course.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with and learn the daily activities, duties, and responsibilities as outlined in a timely and consistent manner
  • Assist with and learn to design, produce, and install posters, banners, window clings, vinyl lettering, and other tangible signage
  • Assist with and learn to maintain supplies necessary to complete jobs and projects without delay
  • Assist with and learn to maintain and ensure that all production equipment is in good operating condition at all times
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Any and all other duties as assigned; duties are subject to change as management deems necessary to best serve the needs of Moody Gardens

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be enrolled in a Ball High School vocational program with a strong interest in design production and be at least 16 years of age.
  • Must have prior design experience using Adobe CC

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Must be reliable and responsible
  • Good communication skills
  • A positive attitude along with the desire and ability to work well with others

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to grasp, lift, or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs, occasionally waist high
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping and kneeling
  • Ability to maneuver stairs and ladders, working at heights up to approximately 10 feet, with the ability to reach, occasionally overhead
  • Ability to work outside in weather extremes including high temperatures during a Texas summer – occasionally as necessary
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time and stand for in one spot for up to 1 hour at a time
