Job description

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Intern to join our chocolate manufacturing team. This internship offers hands-on exposure to quality assurance and food safety processes within a dynamic production environment. The successful candidate will support quality control activities, assist with inspections and documentation, and gain practical experience in maintaining the high standards that define our chocolate products. This is an excellent opportunity for students passionate about food quality, safety, and continuous improvement.   

This position is an INTERNSHIP that would be for 6 months up to a year. This position is about 20 - 30 hours a week position and the schedule can be flexible. This is a PAID internship, however this position does not include; 401k, Health Insurance, Time off, ect. This position is located in North Canton, Ohio and at this time we are only considering candidates currently based in the local area. 

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily microbiological testing on product made in the factory
  • Swab the environment for monitoring microbiological activity
  • Enter sensory and microbiological data into excel and SAP
  • Manage retains of samples tested, organization by date and disposal when needed
  • Responsible for inventory of supplies 
  • Send out equipment for calibration and repair as needed
About You:

· High School Graduate or G.E.D. and working towards a degree in a science field.

· Dependability, a solid work history and a proven track record of safe work habits.

· Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and writing).

· Communicates effectively with employees of all levels, as well as outside agencies.

· Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.

· Working Under Pressure - Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations. 

· Ability to walk and move freely and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds (Bulk items may be heavy)

· Experience in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, Internet
