Job description

Alliance Biotech Solutions is seeking a multiple dedicated QC Microbiologists supporting Environmental Monitoring to join a Quality Control team. This role plays a key part in maintaining the microbiological control of cleanroom environments. The position involves performing routine monitoring using particle counters, viable air samplers, and plates to detect particulates and viable organisms. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, spending most of the day in the field and supporting testing and analysis in the lab.


Perform routine environmental monitoring of cleanrooms and controlled areas using particle counters, viable air samplers, settle plates, and contact plates.

• Collect, document, and process water, gas, and clean samples in compliance with GMP and GDP standards.

• Prepare media and incubate samples for microbial recovery and enumeration.

• Read plates, record results, and assist with microbial identification when necessary.

• Participate in investigations related to environmental excursions and deviations.

• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot monitoring equipment.

• Support area qualifications, requalifications, and personnel monitoring programs.

• Maintain lab cleanliness and ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.


Experience/Skills


• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related life sciences field.

• 1-3 years of QC Microbiology or Environmental Monitoring experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech GMP environment.

• Experience working in classified cleanrooms and controlled areas strongly preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

• Comfortable working independently in cleanroom environments for extended periods.

• Knowledge of GMP, GLP, and aseptic processing practices.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work in classified cleanroom areas, follow aseptic techniques, and perform routine monitoring activities throughout the day.
