Sam Pack's Five Star Ford Carrollton is seeking an experienced Emergency Vehicle Upfit Technician/Installer to join our growing team. This position is responsible for outfitting police, and municipal fleet vehicles with emergency equipment and accessories. Applicants must have previous experience upfitting law enforcement or municipal vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Install emergency lighting systems, sirens, speakers, and control systems
  • Install police consoles, partitions, push bumpers, gun locks, computer mounts, camera systems, radar units, and prisoner transport equipment
  • Install radios, antennas, body cameras, mobile data terminals, and communication equipment
  • Perform 12-volt electrical wiring, soldering, crimping, and troubleshooting
  • Read wiring diagrams and installation instructions
  • Ensure all installations meet manufacturer specifications and department requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Inspect completed installations for quality and functionality
  • Work efficiently while meeting production deadlines

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of emergency vehicle upfitting experience required
  • Experience upfitting police vehicles, sheriff vehicles, municipal fleets, or first responder vehicles is required
  • Strong knowledge of 12-volt electrical systems
  • Experience with wiring, electrical diagnostics, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to install aftermarket accessories with precision
  • Ability to use power and hand tools safely
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various shop environments
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening
