SR Transportation Analyst (Ecommerce)

This position is hybrid working from our Legacy West Support Center located in Plano, Texas

About the role

The Transportation Senior Analyst (Ecommerce) Shared Services help leads a centralized shared service function supporting Transportation operations through process standardization, technologydriven automation, analytics, and disciplined execution. This role provides endtoend project management for Transportation initiatives-including automation, process improvement, and capability buildout-ensuring delivery aligned to business objectives. The position supports all aspects of transportation operations, such as inbound and outbound store deliveries, eCommerce and international freight, through strong internal and external partnerships, continuous improvement, and a customerfocused service model, while providing leadership to Transportation staff and promoting Sally Beauty Holdings values.

Responsibilities

  • Shared Services Operations & Enablement 

    • Operate the Transportation Shared Services function supporting inbound, outbound, parcel, pool, and freight audit activities. 

    • Standardize recurring transportation processes, establish SLAs, and manage intake and prioritization of shared service requests. 

    • Serve as the first point of escalation for systemic or crossfunctional transportation issues

  • Support and implement the important ecommerce initiatives such as rapid same-day delivery, diversify parcel carriers, etc. for all distribution centers, including latest NTX DC, new WMS systems - Manhattan, and subsequently maintain highly competitive SLA for all small package shipping methods

  • Governance Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and documentation standards. Drive continuous improvement through structured execution and postproject reviews

  • Data, Analytics & Performance Management Develop and maintain standardized dashboards and recurring reporting for cost, service, compliance, and productivity metrics. Provide insights and rootcause analysis to support Transportation decisionmaking.

  • Support the annual carrier RFP; manage carrier scorecards & quarterly meetings

  • Develops and prepares annual operating budget and ensures compliance. Achieves operating and financial goals and objectives.

Knowledge, skills & abilities requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field

  • 2-5 years of transportation, or distribution experience in a retail or highvolume environment, with handson experience driving automation, digital workflows, or AIenabled improvements within transportation operations.

  • Handson experience using analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar) to monitor transportation performance and support datadriven decisions.

  • Expansive exposure and experience in contract negotiations.

  • Identifying opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, enhance service performance, and scale shared service capabilities

Competencies & attributes

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Practical experience with TMS, Freight Audit systems, and operational reporting

  • Comfortable working in a goal and metricsdriven environment

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization and with thirdparty partners

Working conditions & physical requirements

The work environment generally involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, and occasionally requires carrying, moving and setting up of computers, for example desktops, monitors, printers, and other small hardware in the testing lab.
