Witschi Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced Luxury Custom Residential Construction Superintendent to oversee daily field operations for high-end, custom single-family home projects. This role is exclusively focused on custom residential buildsno commercial, no multifamily, no production work.

The ideal candidate is a polished, professional, and client-facing leader with extensive experience in luxury custom home construction. Key Responsibilities

Site Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure the jobsite is safe for all personnel and visitors.
  • Conduct regular site inspections.
  • Correct and report any hazardous conditions immediately.

Project Execution & Quality Control

  • Oversee daily construction activities for luxury custom residential projects.
  • Ensure all work meets architectural design intent, building codes, and high-end quality standards.
  • Evaluate and monitor subcontractor workmanship.
  • Verify accuracy and implementation of all design details.

Scheduling & Progress Tracking

  • Track jobsite progress relative to the project schedule.
  • Document delays and unforeseen issues.
  • Coordinate all inspections across each phase of construction.

Trade & Subcontractor Coordination

  • Direct all on-site trades and vendors with clear expectations.
  • Manage accountability for scope, deadlines, and cleanup.
  • Lead weekly job walks with subcontractors and project coordinators.

Jobsite Organization

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite that reflects high-end standards.
  • Establish designated areas for materials, tools, plans, and protective equipment.
  • Ensure proper protection of luxury finishes, including windows, flooring, cabinetry, and thresholds.
  • Uphold signage and site-access control policies.

Pre-Rough & Rough-In Preparation

  • Verify accuracy of framing and installation of required backing.
  • Mark cabinet, shower, and major fixture locations.
  • Lead EMP (Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing) rough-in walks with client participation.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed daily logs, progress photos, and milestone documentation.
  • Track priority selections, upgrades, and change orders.
  • Provide consistent project updates to management.

Client & Team Communication (Major Focus)

  • Serve as the primary on-site, client-facing representative throughout the build.
  • Facilitate client walkthroughs, rough-in meetings, and sign-off appointments.
  • Communicate professionally and clearly with clients, suppliers, and the internal team.

    Qualifications
    • 10+ years of custom residential construction experience (luxury experience strongly preferred).
    • Proven leadership and team-management skills.

    • Professional appearance and demeanor, with the ability to build trust with high-end clients.
    • Bachelors degree preferred.
    • No certifications required.
