Job Purpose

The Construction Site Supervisor oversees commercial construction projects at remote U.S. job sites, ensuring quality workmanship by subcontractors and maintaining clear communication with the PVC supervisor and client company.

Responsibilities
  • Subcontractor Oversight: Directly supervises subcontracted trade workers to ensure high-quality completion of commercial construction projects.
  • Construction Leadership: Leads all phases of the construction process, monitoring progress, performance, and compliance with specifications and contract documents.
  • Jobsite Management: Maintains a safe, organized, and efficient jobsite while enforcing PVC safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Communication & Reporting: Coordinates daily with the PVC Project Manager, communicates construction challenges, and maintains detailed logs with photos.
  • Plan & Code Compliance: Interprets and ensures adherence to blueprints, building plans, codes, and regulations throughout the project.
Requirements
  • Experience & Education: Three to five years of related experience required (Bachelor’s in Construction Management preferred), or five to seven years of experience without a degree. Must have at least four years as a site supervisor in commercial construction with knowledge of multiple trades.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and blueprints.
  • Certifications: OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 and forklift certification preferred.
  • Travel & Residency: Willingness to travel to job sites across the U.S. and reside in temporary housing near the job site during projects.
  • Physical & Equipment Requirements: Ability to work in active construction environments, own necessary tools, have reliable transportation, and maintain a safe driving record.
