Intern Cold Case Investigators are students or recent graduates who assist law enforcement agencies in reviewing and analyzing unsolved criminal cases, often called 'cold cases.' Their tasks may include organizing case files, researching new leads, conducting background research, and helping with forensic or legal documentation. Familiarity with case management systems, forensic analysis tools, and databases such as NCIC or CODIS is typically required. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication are crucial soft skills for reviewing evidence and collaborating with law enforcement professionals. These skills and qualifications are vital for ensuring thorough investigations, accurate case analysis, and meaningful contributions to solving complex, unresolved cases.
