Estimating Intern (Summer 2027)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimating Intern to join our Charlotte office for our 10-week Summer Internship Program. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while working alongside experienced estimating professionals on real-world projects.
As an Estimating Intern, you will develop an understanding of the preconstruction process, cost estimating, bid preparation, and project planning. This role is ideal for students interested in pursuing a career in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
What You'll Do
  • Assist with quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project documents.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of bid packages.
  • Research subcontractors, suppliers, and material pricing.
  • Participate in project planning and estimating meetings.
  • Help maintain estimating databases and documentation.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What We're Looking For
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
