Job description

Rising seniors who are ready to take the next step in their educational journey would benefit from participation as an Engineering Intern at Geoprobe Systems.  Engineering interns work alongside machine and tool engineers to design, produce, and test components that are in need of improvement or need created for Geoprobe machines.

What you will do

  • Project or new part design: Projects related to aiding in development projects and the making of components for that project
    • Work with staff engineers to review overall objectives of a project or parts
    • Determine what the final design needs to accomplish
  • Design layout: Use SolidWorks to layout a 3D model of the project or parts
    • Utilize time in the shop to develop a 3D model out of available materials
  • Fabricate or machine production: Alongside team members in engineering, machine, and fabrication departments, build and test the final product
    • Additionally, make repairs to parts/machines/fixtures that need improvement
  • Field Testing: Expect in ground testing using Geoprobe rigs. New concepts or changes require field testing.
