About Us
Action Against Hunger USA (ACF USA) is part of the Action Against Hunger International network, a global leader in the fight against hunger operating in 55 countries with programs focused on nutrition, health, climate resilience, food security, and emergency response. We manage operations in Kenya, South Sudan, Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Zambia, and Haiti, working alongside communities to address the root causes of hunger and strengthen resilience.
We are seeking aVice President, Technical Services & Quality Assurance, to lead our global technical strategy and ensure excellence in program quality, technical innovation, and evidence-based impact across our humanitarian and development programs.
About the Role
The Vice President, Technical Services & Quality Assurance is responsible for ensuring the quality and effectiveness of Action Against Hunger USA's programmatic frameworks, technical strategies, and program delivery. Reporting to the Chief Impact Officer, this role leads a global team of technical experts and plays a critical role in strengthening program quality, supporting resource mobilization, and ensuring evidence of program impact across country offices
This position is ideal for a mission-driven executive leader with strong technical expertise, global program leadership experience, and a demonstrated ability to link technical excellence with funding growth and organizational impact.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide executive leadership for Action Against Hunger USA's global technical strategy by ensuring program quality, technical excellence, and measurable program impact.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing global Technical Services & Quality Assurance team, strengthening collaboration across headquarters, regional offices, and country programs.
  • Drive technical positioning and resource mobilization efforts by supporting donor engagement, proposal strategy, and complex, multi-country funding opportunities.
  • Serve as a senior external representative of the organization, strengthening partnerships with donors, stakeholders, and global technical networks.
  • Advance evidence-driven programming by strengthening MEAL systems, knowledge management, and research and innovation to demonstrate organizational impact.

Who We're Looking For
  • Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field, or equivalent humanitarian leadership experience
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in humanitarian or development programming
  • Experience managing global technical teams and senior technical advisors
  • Demonstrated experience supporting donor engagement and funding strategy
  • Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary global teams
  • Strong executive communication and representation skills
  • Experience working with U.S. and international institutional donors
