Intermountain Electronics (IE) is a leading provider and manufacturer of custom engineered Process, Electrical Control and Power Distribution turn-key solutions to the Data Center, Industrial, Power/Utility, Oil & Gas, Mining industries in North America. Our products range from large scale one-off custom Power Distribution, Control and Process systems to standard off-the-shelf electronic/electro-mechanical components. Reporting directly to the Logistics & Warehouse Manager we are currently seeking a Material Handler for our Day Shift to be based at our Denver facility.

Job Description

Job Title: Material Handler

Job Status: FULL TIME

Position Summary: Our Material Handler will be responsible for unloading steel product deliveries, organizing, band saw cutting, kitting jobs, and maintaining steel inventory levels.


Work Schedule: Monday- Friday, 6am- 2:30pm


Essential Functions - Other duties may be assigned.

Material Handling

  • Load and unload steel on delivery trucks and make sure that each incoming delivery matches the company purchase order.
  • Stock steel in designated places for inventory management.
  • Keep steel stock areas clean and organized.
  • Assist in reviewing pick sheets based on jobs and then pulling the right products for each job. Kit the steel as needed.
  • Work closely with the inventory group to monitor supply levels and submit purchasing recommendations on a regular basis.
  • Collaborate with the inventory control and purchasing groups to determine when product is missing in a delivery.
  • Use overhead crane and rigging items to move and place steel.
  • Responsible for yard organization and cleanliness.
  • Organizing and keeping inventory of scrap/misc./ odd size steel for future use to conserve resources.

  • Maintains regular and consistent job attendance, comes to work on time.

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to climb to and work from elevated platforms, ladders and walkways.
  • Able to discern and properly use the forklift.
  • Able to keep work area clean and organized.
  • Frequently stand for prolonged periods, lifting/moving of up to 100 pounds, pulling, pushing, reaching, grasping, kneeling, crouching, stooping, crawling and climbing ladders.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. Customer focus.
  • Must be able to work as and with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), adhere to required work schedules, adjust easily to changes in midstream, focus attention on details and follow work rules.
  • Mentor fellow employees/teammates when the opportunity presents itself. A record of dependability and cooperation in previous work environments.

Work Schedule: Must be able to work a 40-hour work week and additional time as required.
