Job description

Summary
The Junior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reports. This role is ideal for someone who is high-energy, highly organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Although the role has a broad scope, it offers excellent work-life balance, steady hours, and flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sales recognition and purchase recognition

  • Handle accounts receivable, including timely application of payments, support for collections, and invoice generation

  • Manage accounts payable, including assembling, reviewing, and verifying invoices, and reconciling transactions

  • Administer sales commissions for representatives and distributors

  • Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

  • Maintain asset management and conduct inventory and COGS analysis

  • Support full-cycle month-end and quarter-end closing processes, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger adjustments, and financial reporting

  • Assist with sales and use tax filings

  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

  • Provide administrative support such as scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, conducting research, and preparing reports

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3–4 years of related experience

  • Bilingual in Korean highly preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

  • Master’s degree in Accounting preferred

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills

  • Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations

  • Experience with ERP systems highly preferred

  • QuickBooks experience preferred

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to work additional hours when needed to meet deadlines

  • Experience working with a Korean-based company is a plus
