About Grey Interiors
Grey Interiors specializes in all work related to interior systems, including metal framing, air/moisture barrier, drywall, firewall, framing layouts, and infection control in the Carolinas for corporate, educational, and healthcare settings. If you can imagine it, we can build it.
What You'll Do at Grey Interiors
The Interiors Project Manager should have a solid understanding of the drywall trade, the construction industry, job site safety requirements, planning and scheduling, building trades, and work sequence.
For this position, the Project Manager must be able to read plans and specs: an understanding of Procore, MS Office Suite, is strongly preferred. The Interiors Project Manager plans, directs, and coordinates the development of multiple construction projects and oversees their organization, schedule, and implementation. Daily communication with GC Project Superintendents is required in order to complete all work on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role will require reimbursed travel to the Wilmington office twice a week.
  • Coordinate with field superintendents and crews to ensure that the teams are fully equipped and prepared to execute the projects successfully
  • Have complete and thorough knowledge and understanding of subcontract documents
  • See that all drawings and specifications are examined, prior to beginning construction, for design deficiencies, impractical details, and possible code violations
  • Ensuring the project schedule incorporates dates and times for GC decisions, availability of design information, procurement of materials and subcontracts, lead times for fabrication, and field installation
  • Ensure quality control measures are implemented and maintained throughout the life of the project
  • Organize and train on-site staff to the requirements of the project
  • Utilize skills to run multiple projects
  • Maintain administrative processes related to the project

Experience You Should Have
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and oral
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and motivate teams of people
  • Strong understanding of the construction process
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite
  • Project management software experience strongly preferred; Procore, Newforma, etc.
  • Ability to read and understand construction schedules. Primavera P6 experience preferred.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours when needed
  • Ability to travel (NC / SC) up to 30% of the time
