Job description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Interior Designer to join our team of professionals. The Interior Designer will have a diverse range of project types, including: Commercial Interiors, Healthcare, Higher Education, Hospitality, Mixed- Use, and Senior Living.

Responsibilities:

  • Space planning - create floor plans, elevations, 3-D drawings, working with commercial furniture (systems and freestanding)

  • Work with clients through all project phases including FF&E, specifications, finish and material selections

  • Understand building systems and construction standards

  • Understands applicable code and regulatory requirements for project type

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the design process

  • Produce installation drawings

  • Work with multiple salespeople on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Create price quotes for the furniture included in the plans

  • Work with our manufacturing team to ensure that furniture is accurately specified and correctly produced

  • With minimal direction, can lead in the design and specification of multiple projects while adhering to project schedules, budgets and deadlines

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or related field

  • Experience in the contract/education furniture industry and corporate/commercial interiors preferred

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required. Knowledge of CET Designer, 2020 Giza, Project Workspace/Spec or other 3D software experience is preferred

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as Google Docs and Sheets

  • 5 years minimum design experience preferably in commercial Furniture design is preferred

  • Mid-level design skills such as creating floor plans and color consultation

  • Ability to work closely with peers in a professional environment

  • Excellent communication skills (active listening, verbal and written communication)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent follow-up skills are required

  • Must be extremely organized, focused on details, and accurate

  • Starting pay will be based on qualifications and experience
