JOB SUMMARY
We're looking for someone who likes active and hands-on work to join us as a Warehouse Associate at Kerman's in our Fishers, IN Warehouse. The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in supporting daily warehouse operations by ensuring materials and products are organized, handled safely, and prepared accurately for delivery and installer pick-up. Responsibilities include maintaining an organized warehouse environment, assisting with inventory management, and supporting order fulfillment processes. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks on a regular basis. This position also provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in warehouse operations within the construction industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review customer, installation, and shipping orders to accurately determine materials to be picked, staged, and distributed.
  • Move materials between receiving, storage, staging, and shipping areas using proper handling techniques and equipment.
  • Pick, verify, and stage will-call and delivery orders, assisting customers with loading as needed.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks safely and efficiently while maintaining product integrity.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment to support efficient operations.
  • Assist with inventory organization and material flow to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Follow and adhere to all warehouse safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate company vehicles for material delivery as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to support daily operational goals.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to meet company motor vehicle record standards.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in warehouse, construction, landscaping, manufacturing, distribution, or a related environment.
  • Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management, shipping, receiving, or order processing functions.
  • Ability to read and understand basic written instructions, perform simple mathematical calculations, and accurately complete warehouse documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
  • Minimum of 6 months of driving experience.
  • Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, or warehouse management systems.
  • Prior professional driving or delivery experience.
  • Experience working with flooring, cabinetry, countertops, building materials, or other interior finish products.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Manual Dexterity: Frequently handles and moves materials using proper techniques and equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
