We are a highly motivated group of individuals who embrace the company's entrepreneurial spirit. Everyone is hands-on, regardless of role. We celebrate our successes together, work hard, have fun, and treat one another with respect.
Who You Are
A DIRTT Interior Designer is part artist, part visionary, part engineer and part computer tech wizard, all rolled into one! Interior Designers work with our clients and Partners to guide them from concept to realization, using your strong design background and ability to utilize 21st century tools to the limit in the name of building better client solutions. They will create an innovative and unique experience for every client from initial education to final walkthroughs. Interior Designers are subject matter experts in Design Editor (formally known as ICE) and DIRTT Solutions.
What You'll Do:
  • Review space plans with the project team.
  • Design client projects using our proprietary systems (Design Editor), populating the DIRTT space from scratch or from a predesigned AutoCAD or Revit file.
  • Work with Architects, Design firms, and/or clients to understand, determine, and finalize DIRTT scope.
  • Lead and own pre-construction responsibilities during the early stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in the creation of pricing packages and renderings in Design Editor.
  • Understand site conditions and how to design around issues.
  • Integrate Design Editor files into the Revit/BIM360 platform for coordination with Architects and Designers.
  • Review order files and deliverables prior to DIRTT entry.
  • Provide DIRTT technical and design guidance as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Understand local building codes.
  • Work with other DIRTT departments to ensure project success.
  • Identify and offer solutions to issues clients may experience with their proposed designs and installations.
  • Complete revisions to Design Editor files and DIRTT shop drawings as needed.
  • Create visual renderings and 3D fly-throughs using Design Editor, as needed.
  • Serve as the DIRTT point of contact for the Project Team, Factory, Field Representatives, and Technicians.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of DIRTT standards, finishes, and Design Editor best practices.
  • Develop, maintain, and update design documentation as required.
  • Develop skills and knowledge within the DIRTT design team by sharing internal and external knowledge gained from previous projects.
  • Track and maintain billable hours on a per-task, per-project basis.

What You'll Bring
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of DIRTT experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting architectural drawings and sketches.
  • Prior experience and strong knowledge of Design Editor.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Previous experience working on technical projects.
  • Proficient with Windows, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deadline-oriented with excellent attention to detail.
  • High sense of urgency with strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional certifications such as NCIDQ, LEED, or EDAC are considered an asset.

What's in it for You?
  • A competitive base salary plus sales incentives
  • Eligibility to participate in DIRTT's Employee Share Purchase Plan.
  • For in-office roles: continental breakfast, coffee, tea, soda, daily hot cafeteria lunch, and snacks to keep you energized.
  • Comprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, designed to keep you and your family healthy.
  • Disability and insurance benefits to protect you and your loved ones, including short- and long-term disability, life insurance, dependent coverage, and voluntary options with certain benefits varying by location.
  • Mental health and wellbeing support, including an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • A thorough and supportive onboarding program designed to set you up for success.
