Job description

ZGF is seeking a passionate Senior Interior Designer/Architect to join our team in our Washington, DC office. We are looking for strong leaders and thoughtful designers with excellent communication and technical skills to join our vibrant and diverse culture of designers, planners, strategists, and industry thought leaders.
As a Senior Interior Designer/Architect, you will...
  • Collaborate with and/or manage teams to generate and develop design concepts
  • Clearly communicate design concepts visually and verbally to teams and clients
  • Develop those design ideas into life
  • Have a passion for programming, planning, materiality, detailing and furnishings
  • Manage and mentor team members from concept design through construction administration
  • Foster and maintain relationships with clients and consultants
  • Assist in developing fee proposals and project schedules
  • Assist in projecting staffing needs to ensure design success
  • Participate in business development activities and advise in marketing pursuits

Qualifications:
  • Applicants must have a professional Interior Design or Architectural degree and 10+ years of related experience
  • Detailing and execution of Revit construction documents with minimal supervision
  • Proficient 3D modeling and rendering abilities in Revit and Enscape is strongly preferred
  • Proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Communication, leadership, and organizational/managerial expertise
  • Substantial experience in commercial office and workplace interiors
  • Experience in workplace strategy and consulting is a plus
  • Experience with complex multi-phased higher education, federal, and healthcare is a plus
  • NCIDQ certification and/or architectural licensure is strongly preferred
  • LEED, WELL, or FITWEL accreditation are strongly preferred

Base Salary Range
$106,000/yr - $143,000/yr
