Description
The Interior Design Coordinator is responsible for supporting the effective, high quality, and timely delivery of multiple luxury residential design build projects from Construction Documentation through Construction Administration. This includes support and coordination of all internal and external design professionals to produce high quality interior finishes results in a fast-paced collaborative environment. The Interior Design Coordinator will also be responsible for supporting the Interior Design Operations Manager in special projects or quality control initiatives.
Responsibilities:
  • Promote and encourage the alignment with Blue Heron Core Values, Policies, Philosophies, Processes, and Methodologies
  • Coordinate with Interior Designers and incorporate all Blue Heron interior design standards, details, keynotes, and actively contribute to the development and documentation of interior drawings and interior design best practices
  • Production of high-quality design deliverables using Revit
  • Synthesize design concepts from SketchUp to Revit
  • Ensure that the design vision is accurately implemented in the field through consistent communication with the interior designer, superintendent, and regular field visits
  • Communicate changes and/or design intent to trade partners and subcontractors
  • Review and respond to submittals and RFI's
  • Review and redline interior drawings and cabinets and closets shop drawings
  • Communicate and coordinate with Quality Control team
  • Provide support and technical assistance to the internal design team by producing and coordinating deliverables, meeting deadlines, and milestones
  • Effectively oversee client billable hours and log hours daily into Paylocity
  • Attend as necessary:

  • Special Purpose, Vendor, and Company Meetings

Requirements
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in interior design or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Ability to comprehend all documentation related to the design process, including interior finishes and specifications, interior design drawings, construction drawings, floor plans, finish schedules, and appendices
  • Entry level construction knowledge to understand construction process, finishes installation, and terminology
  • Ability to self-manage, meet timelines, complete tasks, and work on multiple projects at one time with accuracy and detail
  • Routine use of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, Bluebeam, and Procore
  • SketchUp- Intermediate Knowledge
