Job Title: Print Production SpecialistJob Description
This role supports day-to-day print production by preparing customer-supplied files for press output. The focus is on accuracy, file preparation, and production readiness rather than graphic design or creative development. The individual will work closely with sales, press operators, and production staff to ensure each job is set up correctly and moves smoothly through the shop.
Responsibilities
- Review incoming customer jobs and associated file folders.
- Preflight customer-supplied documents to ensure files meet print specifications.
- Verify file completeness, formatting, resolution, color setup, and overall quality.
- Prepare digital and physical proofs for internal and customer review.
- Coordinate with sales, press operators, and production staff to confirm job details and resolve issues.
- Make basic corrections or adjustments to files as needed to ensure successful output.
- Operate and support production copiers as part of the workflow.
- Track multiple jobs simultaneously while meeting production timelines.
- Maintain strong attention to detail to prevent errors before jobs reach press.
Essential Skills
- Experience in print production, prepress, or file preparation.
- High attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
- Comfortable working independently without constant direction in a small-team environment.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign).
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Print shop experience preferred.
- Willingness to learn shop-specific processes and grow within the role.
Work Environment
The position is on-site with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM with flexibility. The work environment is supportive and encourages professional development. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
