Ruby + Suede is a full-service interior design studio of Highmark Companies, located in Savage, MN. We are looking for an experienced Interior Design Project Manager to join our team. Interior Design Project Managers are a vital part of the design process. They work with Senior Interior designers on all projects focusing on design documentation, design process schedule, support of project build team, and all administrative functions needed throughout the design cycle. This position’s main purpose is to provide efficiencies throughout our creative process, keep projects on budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage design schedules and job start-ups, kickoffs, timelines, folders, and binders, while keeping coordinators and PMs updated
  • Develop remodel designs and construction documents: red-lines, renderings, room finish and tile schedules, technical drawings, layouts, millwork, lighting, and finishes
  • Coordinate vendors and source pricing for selections
  • Own the selections process, build client presentations, refine with designer feedback, debrief post-meeting, and prep for ordering
  • Develop furniture concepts and layouts, and track orders from purchase through delivery (plus troubleshoot any damage)
  • Capture photo and video content on job sites for social and marketing
  • Manage samples and keep the design center organized and presentation-ready
  • Handle timecards, admin projects, and other tasks as assigned, working closely with supervisors, designers, PMs, and subcontractors
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the practices and principles of interior design : 1 year (Required)
  • ability to visualize concepts and explain them to others: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Preparation of proposals for interior design work : 1 year (Required)
  • Chief Architect?design software : 1 year (Preferred)
  • Creative thinking in developing, designing and creating new applications and ideas
  • Knowledge of the practices and principles of interior design
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of CAD or other Computer –aided design software
  • The ability to visualize concepts and explain them to others.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written, and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of the preparation of proposals and specifications for interior design work
  • Have an associate degree or certificate in a 2-3 year program, or a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design / Fine Arts. Or enrolled in an Interior design program and looking for an apprenticeship.
