Your Mission: To ensure the smooth and successful transition of new residents into the community. This position will be a key point of initial contact with incoming residents and their family members by assisting them through the design selection process and through their final move into the community. This position supports occupancy goals through effective planning of move-ins, move-outs and in-house transfers. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales and collaborates with the VP of Community Operations as well as the Sales and Facilities teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Sales and Facilities teams with incoming resident move-ins as needed.
  • Coordinates move-in requirements with potential buyers and the Sales and Facilities teams, while upholding facility standards.
  • Supports marketing team by assisting with tours, telephone inquiries, hosting functions, and community outreach.
  • Partnering with new residents to determine furniture placement and art installation for move-ins.
  • Leading the design selection process for residential renovations, including paint colors, flooring, and finishes.
  • Acting as the primary liaison with contractors for design implementation (with renovation scheduling managed by the Facilities Coordinator).
  • Assists incoming residents with design selections (including paint, flooring, cabinets refinishing, countertops, etc) preparing the home and move to the property.
  • Supports through the position's duties and responsibilities occupancy goals as described in the annual budget.
  • Manages model apartments across communities.
  • Manage relationships with contractors and request estimates for work to be completed.
  • Guides residents through the design and refurbishment process, working together with managers and team members to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Communicates incoming resident's special needs or requirements to the Director of Resident Services.
  • Assists in the production of reports as directed, including databases, administrative files and closing paperwork. Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of safe working practices.
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
  • Digitally captures situations requiring photo documentation that need to be addressed during the move. Additionally, notes any regular maintenance items noticed in the community on the onsite review and advise the appropriate manager of the issue(s).
  • Ability to travel across the Sun Health senior living communities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications:

  • A one-year certificate from technical school or Associate or higher in Interior Design preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of proven interior design experience, focusing in color, finishes, scale and proportion.
  • Minimum experience of 1 year in design software preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience managing relationships with contractors and design projects, such as design selections (including paint, flooring, cabinets refinishing, countertops required.
  • Experience working with seniors or similar demographics preferred.
  • Possess current or ability to obtain, a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
  • Ability to travel in own vehicle, current Driver's license and auto insurance is required.
