THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN NEW CASTLE, IN.

Knowledge Services has a great opportunity for a strong customer service focused individual who wants to make a difference in their daily work life with the FSSA / Division of Family Resources (DFR) as a Front Desk Coordinator. This position will provide general office support and assistance for case workers and clients applying for public assistance. This position will provide customer service and interact directly with the general public, clients, office staff, and other state personnel.  The DFR is responsible for determining eligibility for individuals applying and/or receiving public assistance. Programs include TANF (cash assistance), SNAP, and Medicaid. The Eligibility Assistant staff are front desk staff who are responsible for helping collect paperwork, processing or "pushing" applications and assisting clients who are applying and/or receiving public assistance among other administrative tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Seated at the front desk of the RCC location. Perform reception duties such as greeting visitors, signing for packages, booking conference rooms, administrative assistance to site management, etc.
  • Gathers information as is required as it relates to incident management and reports privacy violations.
  • Maintain records and postings as assigned.
  • Monitors employee compliance with physical security policy and local physical security procedures and ensures security of all company and client sensitive information.
  • Maintains the physical integrity and security of the contract office space.
  • Respond to employee queries about security issues accurately and helpfully.
  • Monitors management of the employee badge access control system to ensure timely disabling of badges for all employee terminations and timely new hire badge production.
  • Reviews monthly access control audit log to ensure all terminated employee badges have been disabled and to review logs for unusual or unauthorized access attempts within the facility. Investigates such attempts and reports these attempts to offending employee's manager.
  • Coordinates preventive maintenance tasks to minimize business interruption.
  • Adheres to and enforces security protocols and procedures in accordance with Security Policies.
  • Ensures that no suspicious or potentially harmful people or objects are entering the premises and that company property and resources are not being unlawfully removed from premises.
  • Communicates with facility management to discuss security issues/concerns and participate in quarterly security audits.
  • Conducts interior/exterior patrols at least twice daily to monitor the status of access control points.
  • Regularly complete critical equipment checklist.
  • Maintains company facilities and regularly creates and submits requests for assistance through our ticketing system.
  • Works with Property Management and Facility and Security Coordinator to maintain facility.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
