Vice President of OperationsDirect-to-Consumer Wine & E-Commerce

We are seeking an accomplished Vice President of Operations to lead and scale the operational infrastructure of a rapidly growing Direct-to-Consumer wine business.

This is an on-site leadership role based in the greater Napa Valley area of California.

This executive will oversee supply chain, warehousing, fulfillment, logistics, inventory, procurement, and operational technology, creating a scalable operation that improves efficiency, profitability, and customer experience.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, data-driven leader with experience optimizing complex operations within DTC, e-commerce, wine, beverage, or a related consumer business.

VP of Operations Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute an operational strategy aligned with growth objectives.
  • Lead the end-to-end supply chain, including importing, warehousing, inventory, fulfillment, shipping, and distribution.
  • Optimize a multi-site fulfillment network to improve delivery, customer experience, and profitability.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing operations team focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage key 3PL, supplier, freight, and logistics partnerships.
  • Improve inventory management, inbound processing, warehouse transfers, pick-and-pack productivity, accuracy, and fulfillment SLAs.
  • Partner with technology leadership to optimize WMS, IMS, OMS, ERP, CRM, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Establish KPIs and use operational and financial data to drive performance and cost reductions.
  • Manage the operations budget and lead strategic procurement initiatives across packaging, freight, and transportation.
  • Partner with Customer Experience to continually improve fulfillment and delivery.
  • Support acquisitions, new business initiatives, and expansion from an operational perspective.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable wine industry regulations.
  • Reduce reliance on costly temperature-controlled shipping and expand multi-site fulfillment capabilities.
VP of Operations Qualifications
  • 8+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, ideally within DTC e-commerce, wine, beverage, consumer products, or complex fulfillment.
  • Proven success scaling supply chain, warehousing, logistics, fulfillment, and inventory operations.
  • Strong multi-site operations and 3PL management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to reduce costs while improving service and customer experience.
  • Experience with WMS, IMS, OMS, ERP, CRM, and e-commerce technologies.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with experience developing KPIs and managing operating budgets.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Wine industry regulatory and compliance knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work on-site in the greater Napa Valley area.
