Job description

Professional Problem Solver Wanted If you’re the person everyone calls when something breaks, we should probably talk. At GPRES Property Management, we manage homes—but this job is really about taking care of people.

What You'll Be Doing

No two days in property management are exactly alike—which is part of what makes this job interesting.

On any given day, you might:

Diagnose and complete general maintenance and repairs

Handle basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and other punch-list items

Troubleshoot problems instead of automatically saying, “We need to call somebody”

Prepare apartments and homes for new residents

Perform property inspections and preventative maintenance

Coordinate with outside contractors when a job requires a specialist

Communicate with tenants and our property management team about what's happening

Help us spot small problems before they become expensive problems

Occasionally encounter something that makes everyone in the office say, “How did THAT happen?”

That's property management. We keep things interesting.

Company Description

GPRES is a locally owned real estate sales and property management company serving property owners, investors, and residents throughout Allegheny County.

We’ve built our business around three pretty simple ideas:

Communicate. Do the right thing. Get stuff done.

We believe good property management doesn't have to be complicated. Answer the phone. Keep people informed. Use technology to make everyone's life easier. Treat tenants, owners, vendors, and coworkers with respect. And when something goes wrong, own it and figure out how to make it right.
