Job description

SUMMARY

The School of Liberal Arts & Science invites applications for the position Visiting Lecturer of English. The successful candidate will be able to teach undergraduate courses in English Composition and the interdisciplinary Humanities program. The candidate should also be willing to meet periodically with department faculty and administration as needed. The position requires a strong commitment to the Christian faith, as well as excellence in teaching, scholarly research, and service.

Palm Beach Atlantic University is a comprehensive Christian university whose mission is to equip students to grow in wisdom, lead with conviction, and serve God boldly, emphasizing moral, spiritual, and intellectual development. 
STATUS

Applications reviewed on a rolling basis until positions are filled.

EDUCATION

Master's degree required or relevant experience in discipline; PH.D., or Juris Doctorate preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in a relevant discipline. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in the discipline.
  • Prior collegiate-level teaching experience, preferred.
  • Commitment to teaching excellence and service to the college, university, and community. 
  • Demonstrated Christian commitment and the ability to integrate faith into coursework. 
POSITION DETAILS

The position is a full-time position, with a teaching load of 5 courses per semester and a starting date of August 2026.
