These include leading-edge conveyor and sortation systems, voice- and light-directed order fulfillment equipment, a suite of warehouse controls & execution software, robotics, Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS), mezzanines, and structures, all backed by critical round-the-clock service and support.

Role:

Design highly automated material handling projects and solutions across multiple engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Controls, Structural, ASRS and Robotics.

Responsibilities
  • Review/influence large, automated project proposals/concepts ahead of project sales
  • Coordinate and influence all engineering disciplines towards best-in-class solutions when dealing with large automated systems
  • Participate, when appropriate, in the project design cycle as an individual contributor
  • Setup/facilitate project design review with all stakeholders to ensure that deliverables are suitable for construction, meeting customer expectations, safety standards as well as meeting budgetary constraints.
  • Research and understand design regulations and codes to ensure system design satisfies requirements
  • Present and manage customer deliverables in a means that provides the best high-performance system for the customer while maintaining budget and schedule commitments for project success.
  • Engage with third party equipment manufacturers in developing request for proposals (RFP's) that are in line with project requirements. Review progress and coordinate with project teams to ensure that project goals are met.
  • Create detailed engineering schedule for multiple disciplines to track and maintain engineering milestones.
  • Monitor project schedules, engineering deliverables and material costs
  • Occasionally travels to project site to review facilities prior or during construction activities, monitor progress, deployment of engineering solutions and during customer acceptance phase.
  • Participates in continuous improvement projects by providing meaningful feedback regarding products and internal processes
  • Resolves engineering issues by working with customers, vendors, and other team members
Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience dealing with large/complex intralogistics projects
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Autodesk Products (i.e. AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks) preferred and/or SolidWorks proficiency
  • Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

  • Ability to lead/influence multiple teams and accomplish project goals effectively
  • Mentor others within the organization as needed
  • Ability to handle multiple project assignments and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Ability to interface effectively with internal and external customers, vendors, consulting engineers, architects, and installers
