Chronos Operations (CO) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chenega Corporation, an Alaska Native Corporation based in Anchorage, AK. Belonging to the Military, Intelligence, and Operations Support (MIOS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU), Chronos has a culture rooted in integrity, respect, and exceptional performance. Chronos is headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO, and provides mission-critical services in Advanced Analytics & AI, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Intelligence.
The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for the oversight of operations in the warehouse, including managing, receiving, tracking, and storing inventory, as well as training staff, managing shipping, workload planning, and monitoring the movement of goods. The Warehouse Operations Manager will oversee the distribution, allocation, delivery, and resource disposal, as well as analyze and coordinate the logistical functions related to the warehouse.
Responsibilities
  • Achieve warehouse operations and operational objectives by contributing warehouse operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews by preparing and completing action plans, implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, resolving problems, completing audits, and identifying trends.
  • Manage warehouse as a service and all programs based out of the warehouse.
  • Support and allocate resources for all programs based out of the warehouse.
  • Manage all operations for integration facility logistics requirements.
  • Maintain proficiency in all relevant policies and procedures, including the ability to articulate and enforce policies and procedures.
  • Maintain operational focus with emphasis on supplier performance, day-to-day resolution of deliveries, and procure-to-pay issues.
  • Provide expertise in processes and systems, contribute to the development and implementation of enterprise-wide procurement processes and systems, including documentation, and optimize procure-to-payment processes, and information systems based upon business news, performance, and strategic objectives.
  • Oversee system integration and quality control procedures for all systems processed and delivered as well as associated documentation (e.g., SOPs, Quality Review Checklists, DA2062s, DD250s, etc.).
  • Evaluate and measure vendor performance to ensure performance meets expectations, including lead time, delivery appointments, quality, and contract commitments.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with vendors and visit vendor sites as required based on business needs.
  • Effectively communicate the oral and written resolution of issues with all internal and external partners.
  • Inspect the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment, and prepare a work order for repairs and requisitions for the replacement of equipment.
  • Strategically manage the warehouse in compliance with the company's policies and vision.
  • Maintain quality standards reflective of GIDEP, DCMA Self Certification, and ISO 9001.
  • Set up, layout, and ensure efficient space utilization.
  • Document assessment findings in analytical documents and reports, including trend analyses, technical summaries, and statistical summaries, extract lessons learned, report to customers, and incorporate them in future logistics efforts.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for select equipment and equipment families.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of work methods and operational procedures for activities, like verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of workers engaged in materials movement or handling, receiving, loading, unloading, stacking, order filling, shipping, and maintaining stock in a storeroom or warehouse.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience with procurement and warehouse management activities
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office at an intermediate level
  • Must be able to work in the US
  • Background check required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Successfully pass background and drug screening
