Role Overview
The Operations Branch Manager is a key leadership role within the Overdose Response Center (ORC), the division's near-real-time analytics and operational hub supporting statewide overdose and opioid response efforts.
The ORC operates seven days a week and coordinates outreach and partner teams to engage communities at both neighborhood and individual levels. This position is responsible for overseeing daily operations, guiding data-informed decision-making, and developing effective deployment strategies in collaboration with leadership and partner agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day supervision of ORC Operations Branch staff, including Planners and Data/Intelligence Analysts
- Develop, implement, and maintain ORC operational processes and procedures in collaboration with leadership
- Prepare and finalize weekly Deployment Orders and Response Plans for PORT and other deployable resources
- Support data analysis and operational planning to inform deployment strategies and response efforts
- Compile and submit weekly briefing materials, including deployment plans and leadership reports
- Identify, investigate, and resolve operational, planning, or deployment issues; recommend solutions to the ORC Director
- Coordinate and collaborate with partner agencies and community-based deployable assets
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support ORC operations and statewide overdose response initiatives
