Description:

Reporting to the SVP of Business Intelligence, the Sr. Director, Business Intelligence will serve as a key execution leader for CareMetxโ€™s data infrastructure, analytics, and reporting functions. This role is responsible for driving the implementation of the BI strategy set by the SVP, unifying data from multiple disparate sources across the organization into a cohesive, scalable model supporting enterprise-wide decision-making. The Sr. Director will lead a team of analysts and report developers, translating strategic direction into operational plans for data architecture and analytics practices while partnering closely with functional leaders across the organization to ensure data solutions meet business needs. This individual brings deep expertise in healthcare dataโ€”including medical claims and payer transactions with commercial and government insurersโ€”combined with strong technical skills in relational database management, SQL, and data visualization tools.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

โ€ข Execute on the strategic vision set by the SVP of Business Intelligence for CareMetxโ€™s Business Intelligence infrastructure, including data architecture, governance standards, and the long-term analytics roadmap.

โ€ข Partner with functional leaders across the organization to identify data needs, integrate information from disparate source systems, and deliver a unified data model that supports reporting and analytics functions.

โ€ข Lead, develop, and manage a team of analysts and report developers, providing mentorship, clear direction, and accountability in executing on BI initiatives.

โ€ข Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and relational database systems to ensure scalability and reliability.

โ€ข Direct the creation and delivery of dashboards, reports, and ad hoc analyses using data visualization tools, ensuring data products are accurate, timely, and actionable for business stakeholders.

โ€ข Serve as the organizational subject matter expert in healthcare data, including medical claims processing, payer transactions, and reimbursement workflows across commercial and government insurance programs.

โ€ข Collaborate with IT, operations, finance, and clinical teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility across the organization.

โ€ข Establish and enforce data governance standards, including data definitions, quality controls, and documentation practices across all BI systems and outputs.

โ€ข Evaluate and recommend technology investments to the SVP to advance the organizationโ€™s analytics capabilities, tooling, and data infrastructure.

โ€ข Translate complex data findings into clear, concise insights and recommendations for executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders.

โ€ข Maintain regular and reliable attendance, including being present, on time, and prepared for work as scheduled.

โ€ข Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field preferred.

โ€ข Minimum 10 years of experience working with healthcare data, including medical claims processing, payer transactions, and/or commercial and government insurance programs.

โ€ข Demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise data models that consolidate information from multiple disparate source systems into a unified analytics and reporting framework.

โ€ข Proven track record of leading and developing analytics or data engineering teams, with experience driving execution on strategic initiatives and managing individual and team performance.

โ€ข Experience partnering across multiple functional areas within an organization, including translating business requirements from diverse teams into scalable technical data solutions.

โ€ข Strong proficiency in relational database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake) and data warehousing concepts.

โ€ข Advanced SQL skills, including complex query writing, performance tuning, and data modeling required.

โ€ข Proficiency with data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms) required.

โ€ข Experience with ETL/ELT tools and data pipeline development preferred.
