The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Prescott, Arizona campus is accepting applications for a non-tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor of Intelligence Studies to teach intelligence courses to students in the Global Security and Intelligence program. The successful candidate will teach students international relations, US foreign policy, the intelligence community, strategic intelligence, the intelligence cycle and intelligence analysis, writing, and briefing. Prior experience working in the intelligence community is strongly preferred.

As a faculty candidate, you should demonstrate excellence in teaching upper and lower level undergraduate courses. Because we are a teaching focused program, faculty will typically teach four courses per semester. In addition to teaching, there is an expectation for university service such as mentoring and committee service. Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communications skills and a strong command of the English language are required.

About the Department of Global Security and Intelligence Studies

The Bachelor of Science degree in Global Security and Intelligence Studies (GSIS) prepares students for various careers including both the public and private sectors as intelligence analysts, security managers, emergency managers, federal law enforcement agents, and state or local law enforcement officers.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

The successful candidate should have a master's degree or Ph.D. in intelligence studies, security studies, political science, international relations or a related field and 5 years of work experience as an intelligence analyst in the intelligence community or military.
