Position Summary

KBR is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to manage and support enterprise infrastructure, networking, communications, security, and backup systems. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, strong troubleshooting abilities, and experience managing mission-critical infrastructure in complex enterprise environments.

This role will be responsible for the administration, optimization, security, and lifecycle management of enterprise infrastructure systems supporting virtualization, unified communications, network security, server operations, monitoring and analytics, and backup/disaster recovery services across mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and maintain enterprise infrastructure platforms including servers, virtualization, storage, networking, and unified communications systems.

Manage and support Cisco Unity and Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) environment including voice services, call routing, and system upgrades.

Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Fortinet Next-Gen firewalls, and network security infrastructure.

Administer Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) environments including cluster operations, storage management, and virtualization support.

Support Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments including patching, hardening, automation, and performance tuning.

Manage Splunk platforms for monitoring, log aggregation, alerting, and operational analytics.

Oversee backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity operations using Kaseya backup solutions.

Manage and maintain enterprise endpoint security solutions, including antivirus platforms, threat detection, policy enforcement, and remediation activities to ensure system integrity and cybersecurity compliance.

Perform infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and system lifecycle management activities.

Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and disaster recovery plans.

Ensure systems comply with organizational cybersecurity and compliance standards.

Provide Tier III/IV escalation support for complex infrastructure incidents and outages.

Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams to improve system reliability, scalability, and performance.

Required Qualifications

10-15 years of progressive experience in enterprise systems administration and infrastructure operations

**Active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance is required**

Strong hands-on experience with:

  • Cisco Unity / Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM)
  • Fortinet firewalls and network systems
  • Nutanix HCI platforms
  • Microsoft Windows Server administration
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration
  • Splunk administration and monitoring
  • Unitrends backup and recovery solutions

Experience with virtualization technologies and enterprise storage systems.

Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and switching technologies.

Experience implementing security best practices and system hardening procedures.

Proven ability to troubleshoot complex enterprise infrastructure issues.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant certifications such as:

  • Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP)
  • Fortinet NSE Certifications
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA/RHCE)
  • Microsoft certifications
  • Splunk certifications

Experience supporting high-availability and mission-critical environments.

Familiarity with NIST, STIG, or other cybersecurity compliance frameworks.

Experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, and Bash
