Intellectual Property Litigation Associate AttorneyAmLaw 50 OpportunityCompensation

$310,000 – $390,000+

A premier global law firm is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Washington, DC office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing leading technology companies, life sciences companies, manufacturers, and other innovative businesses in sophisticated patent and intellectual property litigation.

Ideal Background

• 3–6 years of intellectual property litigation or patent litigation experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience handling patent infringement litigation, trade secret disputes, trademark litigation, copyright litigation, and other complex intellectual property matters

• Experience managing all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, written discovery, depositions, claim construction, expert discovery, trial preparation, and appeals

• Experience litigating matters in U.S. District Courts, the International Trade Commission (ITC), the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), or the Federal Circuit is a plus

• Technical background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Physics, or a related discipline is preferred but not required

• Experience representing technology companies, software developers, semiconductor companies, telecommunications providers, pharmaceutical companies, medical device companies, or manufacturers

• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated litigation matters while maintaining significant client interaction

• Excellent academic credentials

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

• DC bar admission required or ability to become admitted
