Nitro has enabled EC2 to support Intel, AMD and Amazon's custom silicon - Graviton3 - while raising the industry bar for security and performance across our product line.
The EC2 Mac team owns the entire end to-end product lifecycle for the public EC2 Mac offering

The team owns everything from public macOS images, control plane services, down the interactions with all Nitro components in the sled. The team has a wide variety of needs of its engineers, requiring them to be strong owners of areas, driving net-new solutions to problems and always being resilient to a constantly evolving landscape. Work is typically done in Go, Python, C++, ApplesScript, etc.

Software Development Engineers work closely with EC2 Senior Engineers and other technical leaders to define technical direction, and then follow through with detailed analysis, designs, and high quality code.
