What this job involves
The Construction Project Manager, Industrial Facilities leads multiple facility maintenance, capital improvement and space optimization projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery that meets quality, schedule and budget expectations. This role oversees site construction activities, vendor performance, financial management and stakeholder communication. Success requires a blend of technical construction expertise, strong project leadership and exceptional client management capabilities.

Your day-to-day responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, resource allocation, scheduling, budgeting and risk management
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams such as engineering, operations, vendors and contractors to achieve project objectives
  • Implement project management best practices and methodologies to drive consistency and quality
  • Support site teams with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution and closeout activities
  • Assist annual project creation, budgeting and scheduling for the client's Capital Plan
  • Monitor project financials and budgets to ensure effective cost control
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, building occupants and senior leadership
  • Manage vendor and contractor relationships, including RFP processes, contract negotiations and performance oversight
  • Implement quality control and assurance practices, including conducting regular project audits
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, environmental standards and corporate policies
  • Continuously evaluate and improve project management approaches, tools and methodologies
  • Communicate project status, milestones and risks clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
  • Collaborate with Client Real Estate, Finance and business leaders to align facility initiatives with organizational goals

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of progressive facility management and project management experience
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of construction project management, building codes and regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to manage 10-15 facilities projects simultaneously
  • Excellent financial and budget management skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and client relationship capabilities
  • Experience with quality assurance and construction risk management
  • Solid understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety and specialty construction such as clean rooms)
  • Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, AdaptiveWork or similar tools)

Estimated compensation for this position:

100,000.00 - 120,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
