Role Overview

Join Intel's Software team and contribute to the development of next-generation technologies that power advances in Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, and computing platforms.

As a Software Development Graduate Intern , you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and optimization of system software across one or more layers of the software stack, including firmware, drivers, operating systems, middleware, and AI software frameworks. You will collaborate with experienced engineers to develop innovative solutions that enable Intel platforms and technologies while gaining hands-on industry experience.

What You'll Experience:

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and optimize software solutions using C, C++, and Python.
  • Support AI, machine learning, and deep learning initiatives across software and hardware platforms.
  • Develop and enhance workflows supporting MLOps and Deep Learning CI/CD pipelines.
  • Contribute to software performance analysis, debugging, and optimization.
  • Work with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, and Keras.
  • Support research, development and deployment efforts involving Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Diffusion Models, and Reinforcement Learning.
  • Collaborate with engineers across software, hardware, architecture, and AI disciplines.
  • Gain practical experience through real-world projects that support Intel business objectives and future technology innovations.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

You should be pursuing a Master or PhD in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related STEM degree.

Must be available to work full-time for the duration of a 6+ month internship.

3+ months of academic or professional experience in following:

  • Software development in Linux and/or Windows environments.
  • Programming using C, C++, and/or Python.
  • Machine learning and/or deep learning development.
  • AI framework usage including TensorFlow and/or PyTorch.
  • Reinforcement Learning and/or Generative AI technologies including Large Language Models (LLMs) and Diffusion Models.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with triage/debug hardware-software issues.
  • Development or support of Deep Learning CI/CD or MLOps workflows.
  • Experience with creating robust, reliable Deep Learning deployment solutions.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $94,500.00-127,800.00 USD
