Duties, Responsibilities & Other

KCI Technologies is hiring a Senior Designer to join our Land Development team in Raleigh, NC

  • Civil Engineering design and calculations for site grading, erosion and sedimentation control, water, wastewater, and stormwater components of Land Development projects.
  • Participates in technical studies, AutoCAD-based design, preparation of specifications, and technical plans.
  • Permitting applications and processing.
  • Construction administration support including field observation reports.
  • Scheduling and preparation of project cost estimates and schedules

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Strong technical and professional communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, and Civil 3D experience required
  • Ability to work in a team environment on multiple assignments
Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Required:

Requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma or GED, 9 years with an Associate's Degree, or 8 years with a Bachelor's Degree.

Proven experience in field technician roles, with a track record of successful completion of assigned projects.

Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to quality assurance and safety protocols.

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Strong knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD.

Experience with Microsoft Suite; Photoshop and Google Earth

Education and/or Work Experience Preferred:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent

Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment.
