Job Overview

We are looking for a full time Environmental Services Supervisor to join our team!  The Environmental Services Supervisor coordinates and supervises activities of workers engaged in cleaning and maintaining hospital premises.  This role is responsible for assigning tasks to workers and inspects completed work for conformance to standards, and may assist subordinates in performing tasks. Duties include issuing supplies and equipment, resolving worker's problems and training new employees. 

Schedule:  Full time 1.0 FTE

This position is full-time, exempt and benefits eligible.  The pay range for this position is $22.77/hr.- $34.15/hr.  Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.  

Responsibilities
  • Assigns projects and schedules on a day to day basis.  Provides guidance and oversight for quality and efficiency.
  • Ensures adequate equipment and supplies are available to staff for successful completion of duties and responsibilities
  • Ensures quality of care standards are met by inspecting completed work
  • Provides training to Environmental Service and Laundry staff on local and corporate policies and procedures
  • Educates and trains staff on infection control and sanitation standards needed to keep the hospital safe for patients, employees and visitors
  • Works with staff to correct problems identified through inspection, feedback or reported by others

Qualifications

Required

  • High School diploma or GED 
  • 5 years Environmental Services
  • 3 years Management/Supervisory in Environmental Services
  • 3 years health-care experience
