INTEGRIS Health Palliative Care Services | Oklahoma City Metro
INTEGRIS Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider to join our Palliative Care team, serving patients in both the inpatient and home-based settings. Our team provides expert symptom management, goals-of-care discussions, and supportive care services at INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center, INTEGRIS Health Southwest Medical Center, patients' homes throughout the Oklahoma City metro area, and through telehealth visits.
In this rewarding role, you will partner with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary care team to improve quality of life by assessing and managing pain and complex symptoms, facilitating informed treatment decisions, and delivering patient-centered care with empathy and respect.
Position Highlights
  • Full-time, Monday through Friday schedule
  • Typical hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • On-call one week every nine weeks (phone calls only, low volume)
  • No weekend clinic schedule
  • Practice in diverse settings including:
    • INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center
    • INTEGRIS Health Southwest Medical Center
    • Home visits within a 30-mile radius of the Oklahoma City metro area
    • Telehealth consultations

The Nurse Practitioner provides medical consultation, routine patient care, and follow-up as directed. This position requires population specific competencies. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires. INTEGRIS Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Initiates and completes a detailed patient assessment.
  • Initiates the order of laboratory tests, radiological examinations and other routine diagnostic procedures.
  • Diagnoses the actual or potential health problem or need, based upon an analysis of the data collected, and plans therapeutic intervention.
  • Orders and initiates appropriate medication, treatment, and consultation based upon an analysis of the data collected.
  • Orders or performs routine procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing (not involving tendons, arteries or nerves) wound care, venous and arterial blood draws, and managing simple conditions produced by infection, trauma or other disease processes.
  • Educates the patient regarding prescribed treatment and medication(s).

The Nurse Practitioner reports to the supervising physician and Operations Manager Practice Management.
This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Potential for exposure to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, chemicals. Must follow standard precautions. Qualifications
  • Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current Oklahoma Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
  • Must have active driver's license and driving record acceptable to our carrier
