This full-time role, situated within our state-of-the-art Surgical Center, calls for a professional capable of managing diverse patient care needs in a fast-paced environment. In this onsite role, you will engage directly with fellow healthcare providers, including nurses and specialists, fostering a cooperative environment that emphasizes teamwork and communication. As a Physician Assistant at our clinic, you will take on a variety of key responsibilities, including:

• Conducting thorough patient evaluations and formulating treatment plans based on clinical assessments.
• Performing detailed history and physical examinations to assess patient health comprehensively.
• Executing minor procedures as required, demonstrating clinical precision and efficacy.
• Ordering, interpreting, and following up on diagnostic tests, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Providing patient education and counseling, emphasizing wellness and preventive care strategies.
• Documenting all clinical interactions and treatment plans meticulously in our Allscripts Touchworks EMR system before the end of each shift.
• Collaborating with the Center Medical Director to uphold high standards of medical practice and operational efficiency.
• Participating in quality management initiatives and advocating for a high level of clinical support among the staff.
• Following up with patients post-visit to monitor recovery and address any ongoing healthcare needs.
• Assisting in training and mentoring other clinical staff when necessary, enhancing team competency.

You will care for a diverse patient population, from children to the elderly, addressing a wide range of health concerns—ranging from acute illnesses and injuries to chronic disease management. Your role will significantly impact patient outcomes through comprehensive assessments and proactive healthcare interventions tailored to individual needs.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:

• A Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner degree from an accredited program.
• An unrestricted PA/NP license to practice in Connecticut.
• Strong clinical acumen and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and a diverse healthcare team.

We prefer candidates with:

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in urgent care or emergency medicine, showcasing the ability to operate in high-pressure environments.
• Current certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) to ensure preparedness for emergencies.

We offer a competitive salary range of $180,000 to $200,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, our benefits package includes:
