Integrative Health and Wellness Clinic in Bridgeport, Connecticut, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to enrich our Urgent Care Center team. This full-time position offers a dynamic opportunity to assess and manage a diverse range of medical conditions in patients of various age groups in a fast-paced hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have the capability to see approximately 40-50 patients daily, providing high-quality care that emphasizes patient education and collaboration.

The Urgent Care Center is staffed with an interdisciplinary team, allowing for efficient patient workflow and comprehensive care delivery.

• Deliver care to patients by conducting thorough evaluations, diagnosing conditions, and managing treatment plans in accordance with our clinic's medical model.
• Perform detailed history and physical examinations, including minor procedures, and ensure all medical documentation is completed accurately and promptly using Allscripts Touchworks EMR.
• Collaborate closely with the Center Medical Director to uphold the highest standards of medical practice and patient safety, following established protocols.
• Engage in quality management processes by actively contributing to discussions on clinical outcomes, reviewing policies, and adhering to best practices for patient care.
• Follow up with patients post-visit to assess their wellbeing and to answer any ongoing questions regarding their care.
• Contribute to the clinic's growth by identifying opportunities for service development and advancement within the Urgent Care Center.

The Physician Assistant will interact with a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and the elderly, each with varying health concerns that range from minor acute conditions to urgent medical needs. With a focus on accessibility and patient-centered care, you will facilitate a comfortable and supportive environment where patients feel heard and respected.

• Valid Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Degree from an accredited program.
• Unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in Connecticut.
• Strong proficiency in clinical assessment and medical decision-making.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting is preferred.
• Current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
