Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Director, HR Business Support Services and Projects, the Manager leads the HR Business Support Services (HRBSS) team responsible for supportin PeopleSoft, RMS, and eRecords. This role serves as the primary liaison between HR Shared Services, IT, and business stakeholders, providing leadership, oversight, mentoring, hiring, performance management, and direction for Senior Analysts and Analysts. The Manager ensures the timely delivery of HR system implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and production support while building strong relationships with HR operational teams and users across the organization. The role drives innovation to enhance the user experience, supports HR process improvements, and helps define the HR systems roadmap by advancing integration, standardization, efficiency, and productivity. The HRBSS team supports all HR system enhancements and customizations in a fast-paced, multi-company, multi-union environment. The Manager is accountable for leading day-to-day HCM (PeopleSoft, RMS System, and eRecords) operations, ensuring processes are followed, deliverables remain on schedule, and functional designs meet standards before development. The role develops cross-functional partnerships, evaluates team performance, manages staff issues, implements internal business processes, identifies business needs, and delivers integrated solutions while continuously expanding knowledge of HCM functionality. Working closely with IT, the Manager leads the planning, design, testing, implementation, and deployment of new and enhanced HCM functionality, including system updates and upgrades. The role prioritizes work, manages team resources, ensures continuity of HR system services, and provides coaching, mentorship, guidance, and problem resolution to support team and organizational success.

Description:

Responsible and accountable for leading teams involved in the day-to-day support of HCM (PeopleSoft, RMS System and eRecords) systems and processes. Ensures processes are followed and delivery of items are progressing as planned. Reviews new functional designs along with Senior Analysts to ensure standards are met and approves to be moved to development. Develops partnerships across the HR functions and broader business to deliver value added and efficient products and services. Demonstrate a strong initiative and desire to achieve results by being hands-on and collaborative. Evaluates individual and team performance. Investigates and manages any staff issues. Develops, maintains, and implements internal business processes for the HRBSS team to streamline work and ensure team is effective and cohesive. Identify, assess, and anticipate business needs and help develop integrated solutions. Continuously increasing knowledge of PeopleSoft and Taleo functionality, working with Operations to identify anything that can be beneficial. Works closely with AHS IT to design, build, test and implement new and/or enhanced HCM system functionality. Responsible for leading in conjunction with IT, the planning and implementation of system updates and upgrades. Leads and supports implementation efforts where appropriate especially as related to cross- functional initiatives. Works with team to provide overall prioritization of work assignments and management of functional team resources and their activities. Accountable for ensuring continuity and successful delivery of functional services to users throughout the organization. Provides leadership to team members through coaching, mentorship, encouraging dialogue and providing guidance and advice to facilitate resolutions to work or design issues.

Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have the following: A minimum of (8) years' experience in a human resources role leading large, diverse teams within an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity (health care experience is an asset) Minimum of (3) years recent related experience within a supervisory capacity. In-depth knowledge of HCM Systems (PeopleSoft preferred) is also required. University Degree in Business, Human Resource, or combination of related experience/education. Experience with a Recruitment Management System (Taleo preferred) with ability to provide configuration, integration, application and troubleshooting support of the system. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with a large, complex, and unionized organization is an asset. Professional designation (CPHR) is preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) is an asset. Healthcare experience an asset.
