Job description

The Enterprise Project Manager is responsible for leading medium-to-large cross-functional projects and programs across the organization through the Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO). This role manages projects throughout the full project lifecycle from initiation through implementation and project closeout ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, governance standards, business priorities, and successful project delivery.
Working in partnership with business leaders, functional departments, Information Technology, vendors, and executive stakeholders, the Project Manager leads initiatives that may include technology implementations, operational excellence, business process improvements, manufacturing initiatives, quality programs, and other enterprise-wide initiatives.
The Project Manager serves as an individual contributor responsible for establishing project governance, driving execution, managing stakeholder engagement, mitigating risk, and delivering measurable business outcomes. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who can influence without direct authority, build alignment across diverse teams, and successfully manage multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

This role will be based remotely.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead medium-to-large cross-functional projects through the full project lifecycle using established ePMO methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain project charters, integrated project plans, work breakdown structures, schedules, budgets, milestones, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate project activities across Operations, Manufacturing, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Human Resources, Sales, and other business functions as needed.
  • Establish and facilitate project governance through project kickoff meetings, status meetings, executive updates, and stakeholder communications.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and overall project health to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and execute communication and stakeholder engagement plans that drive alignment, accountability, and informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify, assess, mitigate, and escalate project risks, issues, roadblocks, and resource constraints while driving timely resolution.
  • Coordinate organizational readiness activities, including business requirements, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), training, change management, implementation, Hypercare, and transition-to-support activities, as applicable.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to remove barriers and ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor project performance using established KPIs and provide accurate, timely reporting and recommendations to project sponsors and leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement of ePMO governance, methodologies, templates, tools, and project management best practices.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Three to five years of experience managing cross-functional projects.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong understanding of Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps, or similar applications.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Customer focused with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive projects to successful completion.

Preferred (but not required):

  • PMP or CAPM certification.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or medical device environment.
  • Experience managing technology implementations, ERP projects, operational excellence initiatives, manufacturing programs, or business transformation projects.
