Job description

Job Title: System Test Engineer Location: Tewksbury, MA Type: Contract to Hire Compensation: $56.15 - $62.00 per hour Work Model: Onsite Hours: 40.0

Responsibilities

  • Support testing and validation of airport checkpoint screening systems in a system test lab / integration test environment.
  • Operate and monitor test equipment, set up test scenarios, and handle test articles such as bags.
  • Perform hands-on system testing, troubleshooting issues, and documenting results.
  • Follow test procedures, verify system functionalities, and ensure performance, reliability, and operational requirements are met.
  • Work with software applications, hardware components, and system workflows, including Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Support periodic lifting and movement of test articles, typically around 20 pounds.
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality, operations, and program personnel to deliver testing objectives.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree.
  • Experience in system testing, integration testing, verification and validation, or related engineering test activities.
  • Experience testing integrated hardware/software or complex electromechanical systems.
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, including basic troubleshooting and log collection.
  • Ability to execute detailed test procedures and accurately document results.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience with test equipment, system components, and operational test setups.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift and move test articles around 20 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
