Global IS Domain Architect

Step into a role where you'll shape the future of our technology landscape. You'll own solution architecture across several key domains, driving alignment with enterprise and data architecture standards. Each day, you'll influence the design, build, and quality of IS solutions while serving as a trusted expert-consulting, advising, and supporting teams as they implement new technologies or evolve existing ones.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid in Cary, NC

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Ensuring that the IS solutions/services provide the required functionality, meet the expectations of business and are reliable, maintainable, compliant, and auditable.
  • Approving, signing-off, and building any solution to be implemented on ABB production environment, within the respective service line, ensuring required quality and safety standards.
  • Contributing to IS problem and incident management by identifying and eliminating the reoccurring defects.
  • Defining the technical IS solution and ensuring alignment with other modules and surrounding IS applications through cooperation and collaboration among IS solution architects and IS delivery units.

Qualifications for the role:
  • University Degree in information management, computer systems, business engineering or similar
  • 6+ years of IS experience within the relevant IS domain
  • Excellent experience to translate business requirements into IS capabilities and solutions
  • Excellent experience in objectively evaluating IS solutions and making recommendations
  • Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of the overall context of business processes and IS technologies
  • Strong experience in project planning and execution as well as economic aspects of system management and life cycle
  • Strong technical skills and applied knowledge in the following areas preferred:
    • Microsoft BizTalk Server or Azure Integration Services
    • Mulesoft
    • UKG / Boomi
    • SAP CPI
    • JSON
    • XML
    • EDI (X12 and EDIFACT)
    • Message queueing
    • Connectivity methods (https, ftps, sftp, AS2, etc.)
    • API Management solutions
    • SAP IDOC and RFC
    • Integration design patterns and best practices
    • Integration performance optimization techniques
    • Visual modeling of integration / data flows
  • Strong team player and collaborator

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of application integration development
  • 3+ years of application integration design
  • Strong technical skills and applied knowledge in the following areas:
    • Azure Integration Services
    • Logic Apps
    • API Management
    • Microsoft.Net
    • UKG/Boomi
    • SAP CPI
    • Network Topologies
